Dear World, I'm Pregnant!

Say hello to little Baby Sayre!

We are so excited!  I am somewhat of a slacker, I am 15 weeks along and just announcing to the Internet that I am pregnant.

Today we went in for our 15 week appointment, and I am pretty sure they forgot about us, we ended up sitting in the exam room for over 30 minutes before we heard the nurse outside the door tell someone we were in there.
Finally the intern came in to get the heartbeat and Jason asked if it was too early to find out the sex (which we knew it was, but were hoping.)  He said usually they wait until 20 weeks and I wasn't scheduled for an ultrasound.  Shortly after he left my doctor showed up with the ultrasound equipment and said he'd try to figure it out before Christmas. I was sooo excited!  Apparently baby was moving around way too much, and he said he was leaning towards a girl but wasn't sure.
This was no surprise to me, seeing as everyone who guessed thought it was a girl, including Jason.
Then he said he'd see if the ultrasound tech could come in and take a look, so finally after waiting around for another 15 mins with goo on my belly, this time more excited than annoyed, they came back in and the ultrasound tech tried, and said she thought it was a boy, but the baby would hold still long enough to tell.  There was no way I thought it was a boy.  The doctor told us if we wanted to know before Christmas we could go to the mall and they could find a better picture.  But the tech told us we didn't need to spend money on that and took her into her room with nicer equipment and confirmed it most definitely is a boy!  They were sooo nice, I am so grateful for the extra time they spent with us!

After our appointment we went and got burgers from Parker's drive in, which I had never been to but always wanted to, sadly they are closing at the end of the year.  This was Jason's mom's tradition when she was pregnant with him, and even funnier is how we found out today the Dr. Parker who delivered Jason still practices at the clinic we go to!

We both have always wanted a boy first, and are so shocked and excited!  It is weird to completely change plans, we had the perfect name picked out and I had been thinking this was a baby girl for a long time, and now we have no clue what to name a boy!  Jason already has plans to buy camo from Cabela's, and jersey's for the baby.
Now that I saw this little baby inside me it seems so much more real, we can't wait to meet him!
