How 2012 Changed Me

2012 was a pretty amazing year, for obvious reasons. We welcomed our little baby boy Hudson into this world!

Being pregnant and having a baby has been filled with so many challenges and blessings and feelings that I could never imagine. I once heard a quote which basically said "When a child is born, a mother is also born." You hear time and time again people saying they were reborn when they had their baby, and it is so true. I felt like I was finally complete. Learning to be a mother in turn helped me to learn so much about myself. I learned to trust myself more than anyone else, I learned to love harder than i ever thought I could, which taught me the meaning of truley being selfless and humble. I worried like never before, i experienced joy like never before. I found the ability to feel so much compassion for other living things that it hurts. I figured out exactly what it is I am meant to do with my life. I will never forget 2012 and how it changed our little family.
